Artist statement
It is in the use of watercolour that the highest appreciation for the painting medium has come forth.
Each painting has been the result of relentless observation. Lights and colours scrutinised to enable their rearrangement through careful layering.
Such compositions have only been possible through the mastering of a specific “pushing & pulling” technique that leaves soft gradations and decisive marks in the outlines regions.
